I wish they would stop sending repeated notifications after receiving an SMS text message. Please only beep the phone once when receiving a message so I don't think I'm getting new messages, or let this be an option for the user to set.

While the Auto-Complete is good, but it is hard to skip a recommendation since I almost always have a problem in hitting the 'x' and end up in a few irritating cycles of 'delete-word-retype-hit-x'. (Especially bites me when typing acronyms in text messaging.)

I want my iPhone to react like every previous phone and change setup by profiles. When I get in my car and it pairs with the Bluetooth car kit, with inbuilt charger, I want it to set itself to the Car profile which does things like set the screen to be always on and things of that nature. Sony Ericsson has done this for years. The iPhone should as well. Profiles please!!!

"Recent calls" show the name of the person who just called, if they are a known caller or a "favorite" but which number did they call from? If there are three phone numbers listed in the contact info for that person, which number did they just call you from? Which number do you call then back on?

I want to be able to end a call by pushing the button...not just the screen. It seems intuitive to hit the button to hang up and when you do - the call doesn't end - it stays open and the main screen pops up to block it. Not good.

I wish I could use Iphone as a data storage , book reader. there is no facility to transfer my data to iphone like documents /books . Also there is no way you can transfer mpeg movies to iphone. \ It should be made easier for user.

I'd like for the iphone to dynamically adapt the volume of phone calls. The volume of phone calls on the speaker phone are way too low, even though the volume of music on the speaker is loud enough. If there was a way to boost the volume it would help out a lot.

When im using an app and i get a text or a call i cant ignore, the app wont load back up automatically. They need something that keeps it running until you close out. Please, I want to have full Bluetooth functionality!! I want to be able to receive songs, pics and stuff from other phones via bluetooth, and viceversa. Make it so I can turn off the EDGE network and be on 3G or nothing at all. When driving with my iPhone hooked up playing music, the EDGE network sometimes kicks in, making that very loud yeeebeep beep beep beep sound through the speakers that ruins the music.

Please fix dropped calls. Since upgrading to 2.1, the number of dropped calls is reduced drastically. But it still happens far too often. And it happens with 5 bars!

Please increase the volume of the earpiece, speaker and ring tone. Volume is way too low, miss too many calls and can't hear people when on the phone in a crowded room

I would love that miss calls, outgoing calls and incoming calls, are totally different. In nokia for example you know exactly what it happened, if you missed a call, if you made a call or they called you back. Other call theme is that is not possible to know when you called people exactly (date and time, not just only the last call you made)

I would love to have an updated dialler that offers the "calling card" feature (or "conference bridge" feature). This would allow me to dial a number, and then send in a series of numbers and/or characters, thus allowing me to use a calling card to call an international number, or dial into a conference bridge from a meeting that I have notated on iCal.

AT&T international service! I am currently abroad. My phone has been "dropped" from the International network due to some glitch or another. For the second time this month. This time AT&T has said they need 72 hours to attempt a repair...send the correct signal or something. I have been without a phone for 5 days now. iPhone...it sucks abroad.

In recent calls, distinguish incoming versus outgoing calls; show what number type made the call, for example, Billy Bob (mobile) called me but earlier I called Billy Bob (work). A simple "in" / "out" icon would do the trick.

Please fix that when you update your progs via AppStore the icons of the programs updated relocates to the first home screen (if its still room). I want them to stay put where I placed them in the first place..

Most phone conversations make me want to slam it against the wall. AT&T's sub-par service aside, the device itself has this clever little way of spontaneously putting my calls on mute, hold or, better yet, calling another contact while in mid conversation. This only occurs when I'm earbudless, which is most of the time since i HATE HATE HATE the earbuds anyway.

Profiles. Every phone I have ever owned has had the possibility of saving presets for ringer volume, vibrate mode, ringtone, screen brightness etc so that you can easily switch between them for nighttime, meetings, car use etc. The iPhone only has silent/not silent, we need profiles!

The mute key is in the wrong place keep muting with my ear when in call

My phone often dies after receiving calls or trying to make calls. I have to restart the phone for it to work again.

Recent calls list should differentiate between received and dialed calls.

In the recent calls list, i would like the option to seperate the phone calls to received, dialed, missed, and all calls.

When browsing recent or missed calls, if I tap a number, ask me, "call 212-555-1212?" It's way too easy to accidentally dial a number in that list
