Extra layer of security; Allow a different pass code lock for text messages and e-mail. The iphone always gets passed around to curious friends, but I do not want them looking into my private items!

Why not iPhone offer certain amount of space on the phone to run application for testing purposes and the once which Apple store does not accept rather than Jailbrake or using other software to break the iPhone? The more users can do with the phone the higher the community grows.

I would like some sort of Today screen that could show appointments, unread emails, etc. when the phone is locked. Of course, it would be an option to turn on and off.

I appreciate the new "explicit content" setting in Parental Controls. However, it only seems to work with music purchased from iTunes. You need to update iTunes so that I can manually apply an "explicit" attribute to any iPhone content (e.g., movies). I often toss the kids my iTouch to play games or watch anime in the backseat on long drives, but I don't necessarily want them watching Aliens.

Don't make me slide the unlock button to access the phone if I'm also using the passcode security. Having to do both routines every time I want to use my phone for anything is total BS - the passcode is enough on its own.

We need the ability to lock certain parts of the phone and unlock others. If a friend needs to use the phone for directions or nags you until they get to play a game, what if a private text message comes in? Sure you can turn off the preview, but they can still hit open or just go to the text message app. Just add a quick option to lock down sensitive material, but not the whole phone.

Make every icon, program, feature lockable with a password by double clicking on the icon or placing an icon in the upper left or right offering that feature for our privacy so that when people use our phone they can't access anything without the owner's permission!
