On-the-Go | Please fix the iPhone

Give us iChat! Complete with threaded text discussions like iChat for the Mac. Make it run in the background so that we can be logged into IM all the time and receive instant messages when our phone is asleep. Give us ringtone and vibration settings to alert us of new IMs. Make it work with the Jabber, AIM accounts that we use with iChat on the Mac. For bonus points add support for MSN and Yahoo.

I have a music transmitter that allows me listen to my iphone in my car. When I am listening music everything else works, check email, text message, etc. Why can I not talk on speaker phone while connected to the device, have the sound go through my speakers in my car.

If the ringer volume is at zero, or the phone has been set to vibrate, PLEASE have some visual indicator on the main menu page. With protectors and covers, it is often hard to see or remember that the sound is off and many calls and texts are missed.

Road Mode! When I drive I want to be able to see: 1. The name of the song etc. in a size I can actually read. 2. Buttons that are easy to find without taking my attention off the road in V&H. 3.Time (again, large enough to read) And I would love to see something fun that uses the accelerometer. Not just for fun, but to also show you you're currently in car mode.

I want my iPhone to react like every previous phone and change setup by profiles. When I get in my car and it pairs with the Bluetooth car kit, with inbuilt charger, I want it to set itself to the Car profile which does things like set the screen to be always on and things of that nature. Sony Ericsson has done this for years. The iPhone should as well. Profiles please!!!

Since Remote lets me control iTunes from my iPhone via local WiFi, why can't I also access & stream my entire iTunes library (music & video) FROM my Mac TO my iPhone over WiFi? Heck, why can't I do that from anywhere over any WiFi internet connection? In other words: my iPhone should be able to access/stream my home iTunes library from anywhere over WiFi, period.

The inability to switch SIM cards... for any of us who travel, roaming fees make it unrealistic to use my iPhone out of my home country. With Europe now having open borders, it is crazy not to be able at least to switch SIMs, if the roaming fees are not regulated and cross-border...

When listening to songs in shuffle mode, I often stumble across something I haven't heard for ages. It would be great to have a 'additional options' shortcut (like new nano) where I can browse artist/album and/or simply play only this artist/album.

offline emailing. I hate the fact that I can't trash messages or compose new messages without having a stupid alert come and interrupt me. This is using exchange email services, not live IMAP - there's no reason why a sync when you do go online shouldn't do everything you did while you were offline.

Calendar problems caused by changed Time Zones... when I enter a time for an appointment, I do not want it to change when I change my time zone.
