Integrate Calendar with Google Maps. If I go to the trouble of putting in the location for an event in iCal, I want to be able to navigate to it without having to memorise it and re-enter it.

While the Auto-Complete is good, but it is hard to skip a recommendation since I almost always have a problem in hitting the 'x' and end up in a few irritating cycles of 'delete-word-retype-hit-x'. (Especially bites me when typing acronyms in text messaging.)

Would LOVE the ability to download/cache maps so that we can instantaneously access any portion of the map for say, San Fransisco [without having to wait for a section of the map to (re)load]. This would also be great for previously viewed web pages.

I wish you could save maps onto the phone. Going into the wild with the GPS is awesome until your out of cell phone range and all you are is a blue dot in a sea of brown squares.

Allow the Maps app to allow you to dis-allow toll roads. Nothing is worse than finding out that you are on a toll road and have to pay when you have no cash.

I wish I could get voice-guided directions through Maps! The GPS directions are almost perfect, and not having to watch the screen would be so much easier. I already have my audio through my phone, so why not get directions on top of it? Bonus points for some celebrity voices.

Make the iPhone run applications in the background. I want a GPS tracker that can track me regardless of what I'm running. Background applications will make the phone do so much more.

Integrate My Maps. I have custom maps I have created with Google Maps available in my desktop browser. These should be able to be accessed and shared on the iPhone as well. With this would come the ability to add new locations (pins) to your custom map.

Let us use our Google signins in Google Maps and in You Tube so our saved locations in Google Maps and Favorites in You Tube show up on our phones too (and so we don't have to duplicate everything in the saved locations and videos there).
