Landscape typing in all applications that allow typing. When the iPhone is in landscape mode it's easier to hold with two hands and type with two thumbs.

While the Auto-Complete is good, but it is hard to skip a recommendation since I almost always have a problem in hitting the 'x' and end up in a few irritating cycles of 'delete-word-retype-hit-x'. (Especially bites me when typing acronyms in text messaging.)

PLEASE change the auto-suggestion feature which suggests words as you type so that it ONLY uses the suggested word when I CLICK-TO-ACCEPT it. It is infuriating and arrogant of you to assume that you know what I want to type unless I click-to-reject. I am CONSTANTLY going back and retyping words because they were overwritten with the iPhone's mistakes.

Support for BlueTooth Keyboards. There are times when I am doing too much typing for any cellphone built in keyboard and being able to use a pocket bluetooth keyboard would be handy.

Allow the connection of a keyboard - bluetooth, hard connection, doesn't matter, just something. A USB to iPhone adapter would be incredible, my roll up keyboard would would great. The telnet, ssh and network utility applications and a keyboard would make this an incredible little portable computer, but editing files with the onscreen keyboard is near impossible.

iPhone has same problems as lot of their competitors. Why not Apple join the Symbian, Android and Palm community and let developers work across to create multiple cross platform applications. After all all of these guys are friends and they do communicate behind doors. Enough of nonsense about owing and creating application for your own preparatory use.

Allow click-drag on keyboard with one finger to see which key is selected (like it does today), then use tap with other finger to "hit" the key but DON'T dismiss the selected key! This would allow easier text input for people with fat fingers.

I wish there was a way to prevent the accelerometer from always turning whatever application sideways. However, I would like to be able to set preferences to make all keyboards appear in landscape mode or portrait mode.

Why not iPhone offer certain amount of space on the phone to run application for testing purposes and the once which Apple store does not accept rather than Jailbrake or using other software to break the iPhone? The more users can do with the phone the higher the community grows.

It wold be nice for non english users, to double-tap on a key of the virtual keyboard to write a default special character. For example: double tap ''a'' in Spanish to write ''á''; double tap on ''n'' to do ''ñ'', etc. This will really increase speed writing because special characters are very common and press-and-wait-the-key-to-write is painful. Thanks you very much!
