Simply allow me to tilt my iPhone when I read my emails. It works in almost every single application, why not that one where the content can be pretty wide?

Allow the connection of a keyboard - bluetooth, hard connection, doesn't matter, just something. A USB to iPhone adapter would be incredible, my roll up keyboard would would great. The telnet, ssh and network utility applications and a keyboard would make this an incredible little portable computer, but editing files with the onscreen keyboard is near impossible.

iPhone has same problems as lot of their competitors. Why not Apple join the Symbian, Android and Palm community and let developers work across to create multiple cross platform applications. After all all of these guys are friends and they do communicate behind doors. Enough of nonsense about owing and creating application for your own preparatory use.

I wish there was a way to prevent the accelerometer from always turning whatever application sideways. However, I would like to be able to set preferences to make all keyboards appear in landscape mode or portrait mode.

It needs a removable battery, especially since the battery is drained so quickly. It'd be nice to just pop in a spare battery when I can't use a charger.

restore the proper 3g signal meter. the 2.1 update added more bars, but didn't actually change the signal strength. it's super lame to think i have 5 bars and still drop calls.

Why not iPhone offer certain amount of space on the phone to run application for testing purposes and the once which Apple store does not accept rather than Jailbrake or using other software to break the iPhone? The more users can do with the phone the higher the community grows.

Mac has so many capabilities that all of the users here Complained about. Why not make more portability available to phone same as the Operating System in the past 5 years. Majority of the complains here are relating to the functionality which MAC/Apple has solved in past 5 years. Make the developers work from OS team and Phone team. This is make majority of the problem disappeared.

Disk mode, like iPods used to have. There should be an option to enable/disable so that the iPhone will act like a USB disk when plugged into any computer, to store whatever kind of data you want on it.

I'd love to see Apple create a 'netbook' shell where the iPhone would slip in the space where the current glass trackpad is, and the iPhone would power the entire device (including Internet access). This is not an original idea as OLO computer has proven http://olo-computer.com/ , however I'd like to see an Apple version.

How about you fix the wifi bug that's plaguing many users (see messageboards)... updates have caused updates to stop working for many people and the latest update didn't fix it.... I now no longer have wireless access but have to rely on Edge at all times... rubbish... and no word on it from Apple... typical of what they've now become... acknowledge and fix!
