When accessing numbers in "Contacts" filed under ICE, I only have the Share Contact? option. I cannot tap the displayed number to make call as I can anywhere else in "Contacts"

Importing contacts from Exchange COMPLETELY OVERWRITES all existing contact entries. WTF?!? I'm in IT and have had many a sad user come to me in desperation after their first connection/sync with our Exchange server wiped out dozens, sometimes hundreds, of their existing contacts. Shame on you, Apple, this is a BUG, and a destructive one at that.

When you press a phone number link on a web page or an email, you are given the pop up option to "Call" or "Cancel". Please add "Save" and "Text". Because sometimes you dont want to call right away or you want to send an SMS to the number because you know its a mobile.

I don't want my text messages popping up on the front screen for anyone to read and the only way to prevent that is to enter a passcode everytime. Why not just have the SMS show 1 message and you have to open it to read it.

Please fix dropped calls. Since upgrading to 2.1, the number of dropped calls is reduced drastically. But it still happens far too often. And it happens with 5 bars!

The camera on my iPhone often takes images that are "broken" (i.e. it splits the image into several squares). This was a problem on my 1st Gen iPhone, which Apple has recently replaced. But it's doing it on my new iPhone as well. What the heck?

Fix the bug that causes YouTube videos to load VERY slowly over a fast wi-fi connection.

The lag. If I make the mistake of going into the email app, or that was the last app that was open, and I go into send a quick SMS, the lag is horrendous until the phone is finished mucking about with email. The phone should give massive priority to the foreground app.

When working with multiple pages in Safari on iPhone, previously loaded pages are sometimes reloaded when you navigate back to them. A setting to increase Safari's cache limits would be useful especially for ajax web apps, like google reader, that force you to start from the beginning when they are reloaded.

How about actual date and time stamps on both sides of an SMS conversation? It would be very helpful. Every other phone supports date and time stamps for every text message received.

I have my iPhone locked so that should it be picked up by someone, private information can't be compromised. But this then means that a good Samaritan can't discover my contact info. I would like a function on the unlock screen to show a message that would provide the owner a means to say something in this regard: a phone number, an e-mail address, a note of a reward, if desired.

Make the entire screen clickable when I take a picture. Not just the tiny button that is impossible to locate when you try to take a picture of you and your friends. Or maybe make the volume button the shutter button?

We can't flip the keyboard on SMS. The buttons are too little so when I want to click on the A, I'm touching another one. So if we could flip the keyboard, we will have more facility to touch the right buttons.

Let us stream music from iTunes. The Remote application lets me scroll through my computer's playlists, select songs, and control their playback, but it's useless, because the sound comes out of my computer's tiny speakers halfway across the house. Next time I sync my iPhone, please delete the podcasts that have been listened to. Since firmware 2.2, it's a frequent thing that many of my already listened to podcasts do not get deleted, even after multiple syncs. I have to manually uncheck those episodes from iTunes to get them to be removed from my phone.

Have the camera use the accelerometer to avoid blurred images - ie, shutter release only when the iphone is not moving.

When I'm charging my iPhone over night and set an alarm clock for 6am, it doesent work because it's plugged to the USB-charger. Let the alarm clock still work during charging the battery!

I would like the ability to create and delete playlists and be to be able to rate music with the star system while i'm listening to a song. I don't normally listen to music using iTunes. I pretty much always listen to music on my iPhone so it's a real pain to have to rate everything from the computer.

I would like to be able to download songs using 3g. You said this was fixed but it's not. You can only download podcasts, which i dont even listen to. The iPhone still says "you must connect to a wi-fi network to access music"? What's the point of a 3g if you can't download songs from where ever?

A way to set which screen you see first after you hit the phone button. I hate hitting the phone button, then having to navigate to the keypad or favorites to make a quick call (especially while driving!). Just a simple option for a default screen or remember last screen would clear it up.

"Recent calls" show the name of the person who just called, if they are a known caller or a "favorite" but which number did they call from? If there are three phone numbers listed in the contact info for that person, which number did they just call you from? Which number do you call then back on?

When clicking on a phone number in SMS or other apps, have the option to save the number as well as call it or cancel it. The cancel option doesn't even have to be there, just click outside of the box to cancel the request. Most of the time I don't want to call the number just yet, but I want it saved for future reference.

Fix email. Since 2.1 update my iphone will not fetch my mail every 15 minutes like it used to. I have to manually fetch my email. This is a known issue all over the apple message boards.

Why not give us the option to go from the last app page to the first one, and vice a versa. For example, if you have 5 app pages, you could go 1->2->3->4->5->1 or 2->1->5->4 etc.

Make iTunes store work via 3G. I download music via 3G since almost four years (on other phones). But Apple still requires us to be connected via WiFi to use iTunes. Why??? Apple, this is ridiculous! Why did you build a 3G phone after all?

Fix emails so they display properly regardless of format. When I'm viewing some messages, the font is so small I can't see, and when I double clcik on the message to try and zoom in, it won't, so I have to manually zoom in and then scroll forever to view. Also, some emails don't word wrap so I have to scroll to the right.

Allow categories in Contacts, so I can keep my private and business contacts separate; I want to be able to sync business contacts with a computer at work and personal contacts with a home computer and not 'infect' each with the other's data. In SMS, the options for "Call" and "Contact Info" should appear underneath the person's name when the keyboard is not present (i.e. you don't have to scroll all the way up). When the keyboard is present, allow user to tap outside of the keyboard to hide it, which would then bring up the "Call" and "Contact Info" options again. Scrolling to the top is too many moves away from making a call.

If the podcasts are going to play straight through without stopping, please reorder them so they play from oldest to newest. That way you can start with older podcasts and listen until you catch up.

Home Screen. I have 8 pages of apps but my main apps on on the first page. Pain to scroll back to first page with 7 swipes. Or back to last page to see latest installed apps. Double tap on the far left or far right of page dots to go to first or last pages. Or add setting so double click on HOME button goes to first screen.

When doing a Sync in iTunes, give us an option to choose whether we want to do just Sync or Backup + Sync, because backups sometimes take FOREVER.

Concerning Japanese names: My wife's name is 雅貞, pronounced あじょん (very unusual because of Korean origin). I put this in the OS X address book, and whenever I type あじょん OS X (Kotoeri) will know that that converts to 雅貞. Bring that reverse name lookup functionality to the iPhones Japanese input!

The time zone bug that means whatever I do, my iPhone thinks it's back home in Cupertino. No matter how many times you reset the time zone to London, it reverts to Cupertino. This means you get times that are six hours out on emails and SMS messages and certain applications (ie TV Plus) have all the wrong times, as do the world clocks. Please please fix it!

Making mistakes on the teensy keyboard ( unable to make sms landscape), I can't use a stylus as the iphone is "heat sensitive" to your fingertip and no one has invented ( or have they, please tell me they have!) a stylus that can heat up to the same.... Is this rocket science?????

It should learn words that you override the auto-complete with. I hate having to click on the "x" every time I type my friends' names.

Give us iChat! Complete with threaded text discussions like iChat for the Mac. Make it run in the background so that we can be logged into IM all the time and receive instant messages when our phone is asleep. Give us ringtone and vibration settings to alert us of new IMs. Make it work with the Jabber, AIM accounts that we use with iChat on the Mac. For bonus points add support for MSN and Yahoo.

Users can disable SMS auto-correct function for mispelled words, not all iphone users are english speaking folks, for heaven's sake, there are iphones being sold in Asia!

When you've locked the iPhone, but are still listening to music from iPod, please can the side volume buttons still work, so you don't need to press power/home button, swipe to unlock and enter a passcode if enabled before you can turn the volume up or down. Understand why buttons don't work when locked, but it's inconvenient when listening to music (and presumably it's not in your pocket!)

Allow to reject an incoming phone call when the iPhone is locked. When it happens the mention unlock change to answer but if you want to reject the incoming phone call is not possible.

I wish I could be able to ignore some wifi networks that I dont want to use. In my work has a wi-fi network that I dont want to use, everytime I unlock my phone it asks me if I want connect to that network. This should be a simple feature...

When under a Wi-Fi hotspot I have to use my ISP's smtp server to send E-mails. If I walk out to the drive-way and lose Wi-Fi, I have to go into Settings and change the outgoing server to cwmx.com just to send an E-mail through the Edge Network. Once under the Wi-Fi, I have to change the server again.

It would be nice to send text messages to more then one contact at a time.

Instead of trying to get money from us every little way possible a simple option of choosing a song from the iPod as a ringtone would be nice.

In the Contacts app, it's way too difficult to engage the "search" function. The tiny little "magnifying glass" icon is too small, and you end up hitting the "Add" function, etc.
